Parineeti Chopra is getting back to her fitness routine after rigorous training for her next movie Chamkila opposite Diljit Dosanjh. She reveals her training included singing her heart out every day in A. R. Rahman’s studio and then going back home to eat as much junk as possible.
Chopra took her marital vows with Raghav Chaddha this year in September. Now she has all the intention to make a comeback after the long break of marriage and other activities.
Pari will be seen next in Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila opposite Diljit Dosanjh. The movie is a biopic based on the story of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot Chamkila.
Parineeti Chopra speaks up on her training for Chamkila
Speaking about her rigorous training for her role as Amarjot, Pari reveals the daily practices she went through to prepare herself.
“I spent 6 months this year singing in Rahman sir’s studio, and going back home to eat as much junk as I could to put on 15 KILOS for Chamkila! (Coming soon on Netflix) Music and food. That was my routine.”
Pari had finished the shoot for Chamkila before her marriage. She further added in her post.
“Now that the film is done, the story is completely the opposite. I miss the studio and live in the gym trying to get back to looking like myself again. And not Amarjot ji! It’s been hard. But anything for you Imtiaz sir! And this role. Many more inches to go. Let’s do this! #Chamkila #ImatiazAli #Amarjot”
She also pays gratitude in Stories now that the shooting is done and the movie is all set to roll out.

Parineeti Chopra’s sheer determination to get back to her natural weight
Chamkila is based on the real lives of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot Chamkila. The duo singers and the two members of their band were kidnapped and then killed on 8 March 1988. The mystery behind their killings still remains a mystery.
While the Punjabi singer cum actor Diljit will be portraying Amar Singh Chamkila, Parineeti will be taking the avatar of his wife Amarjot. For the role, Pari has undergone tough training that included singing every day in the music studio of the legendary A. R. Rahman and eating junk food to gain 15 kilos.

Chamkila will be dropping on the OTT platform, Netflix, in 2024. Music is composed by India’s pride A. R. Rahman. Other actors supporting the storyline are Nisha Bano, Apinderdeep Singh, Rahul Mittra, Anjum Batra, Vipin Katyal, and more. Chamkila is the first collaboration of Parineeti and Diljit.
