Like many TV actors, Pearl V Puri is eyeing a Bollywood debut. The actor, who got fame from shows like Naagin and Bepannah Pyaar, is prepping for his dream role.

According to sources, Puri is going to share screen space with Divya Khosla Kumar and Meezan Jafri in the sequel to 2014 hit Yaariyan. While the first part was directed by Divya, Yaariyan 2 will be helmed by Sanam Teri Kasam fame duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. The first installment of the film featured Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh and Nicole Faria in leads.

The debut film of Pearl will be his first major project after the controversy he got entangled in last year. Pearl was arrested by Waliv Police under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on June 4, 2021 for allegedly raping a minor girl. After being granted bail, he talked about the hard times through his social media post.

Pearl had penned, “Life has its own way of testing people! I lost my Nani ma a few months back, then on her 17th day, I lost my dad, post that my mother got diagnosed with cancer and then this ghastly accusation. The last couple of weeks were gruelling for me like a nightmare. I was, overnight, made to feel like a criminal. All of this in the midst of my mother’s cancer treatment, shattered my sense of security, making me feel helpless.”

Let us tell you that Yaariyan 2 will be Pearl V Puri’s second project with Divya Khosla Kumar. Back in 2020, the two collaborated for the first time in a music video titled Teri Aankhon Mein.
