The iconic trio from Hera Pheri—Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar, and Paresh Rawal—recently reunited, much to the delight of fans, for a special event. The reunion took place during the 16th Akshay Kumar Kudo International Tournament, where Suniel and Paresh joined Akshay for the action-packed event.

Suniel Shetty shared the moment on his Instagram, posting a video montage featuring photos of the three actors as they boarded a chartered plane. In his caption, he wrote, “The Dhoom Dhadaka Orchestra is back!!! But no Hera Pheri this time… just all-out Kudo action! Off to the 16th Akshay Kumar Kudo International Tournament!” The reference to the “Dhoom Dhadaka Orchestra” is a nod to the 2006 sequel Phir Hera Pheri, where the song “Aye Meri Zohra Jabeen” featured Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh, along with a star-studded cast including Rima Sen, Bipasha Basu, Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav, and Johnny Lever.

The original Hera Pheri (2000) remains a cult classic in Indian cinema. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film starred Akshay Kumar as Raju, Suniel Shetty as Shyam, and Paresh Rawal as the lovable but bumbling landlord, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. The plot revolves around Raju and Shyam, two tenants who, alongside their quirky landlord, Baburao, get caught up in a hilarious scheme involving a ransom call. The film, a remake of the 1989 Malayalam movie Ramji Rao Speaking, is known for its impeccable comic timing and memorable performances.

The sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), continued the characters’ misadventures. This time, Raju, Shyam, and Baburao find themselves entangled in a new mess after being swindled by a con artist named Anuradha (played by Bipasha Basu). Desperate to repay money owed to a gangster, the trio’s hilarious attempts at getting out of trouble led to even more chaos and comedic situations.

The reunion of Shetty, Kumar, and Rawal sparked nostalgia among fans of the beloved franchise. Though this reunion wasn’t for another Hera Pheri film, the actors’ camaraderie and shared history of working together was evident, adding another chapter to the legacy of one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises.
