A police official said on Tuesday An FIR has been registered against three individual users of WhatsApp and Facebook in connection with a pirated version of the Salman Khan-starrer film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai finding its way on social media platforms. According to a complaint, the film, Radhe, was leaked on social media platforms and messaging apps hours after its official release last week.

Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the trio under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and the Copyright Act, he said, adding a probe was underway.

The complaint was filed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, the film’s producer, at the central cyber police station here after the pirated version of the film started doing the rounds on various online platforms, he said

Salman Khan had earlier requested his fans to not resort to piracy and watch the film on its official platforms. He warned the people that the Cyber Cell would take stringent action if they are caught watching the movie on a pirated site.

‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’, which released on May 13, garnered over 4.2 million views across all platforms on its first day. The movie received scathing reviews from the critics and fans on social media.

Movie buffs expressed their displeasure over the film’s plot and screenplay and called them out for repackaging ‘old wine in a new bottle’.  ‘Radhe’ became Salman’s lowest-rated film on IMDb with a rating of 1.7.

The Prabhu Deva directorial also stars Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda in key roles. It is based on South Korean film ‘The Outlaws’
