Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra has come a long way. From winning Miss World Title to getting successful career in Bollywood and then making a big name in Hollywood too, Chopra’s career graph is something to look forward to. But nothing came served on a plate for the actor. She too had her own share of lows in life.

Right now, the Aitraaz actor is hitting headlines for a sharing about her nose surgery in her autobiography ‘Unfinished’ memoir. In a startling revelation, Priyanka has talked in detail about how doctors mistakenly shaved the bridge of her nose when she went to them complaining about breathing issues. She also wrote about how this changed her entire appearance and shattered her self-confidence.

“I was having trouble breathing. This is a problem someone with asthma can’t ignore. I ended up seeing a doctor recommended by a family friend, who discovered a polyp in my nasal cavity that would need to be surgically removed. While shaving off the polyp, the doctor also accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed,” stated Priyanka in her book.

She further added, “When it was time to remove the bandages and the condition of my nose was revealed, Mom and I were horrified. My original nose was gone. My face looked completely different. I wasn’t me anymore.”

Quoting about how she will not be able to forget about this incident in her life, she mentioned, “I didn’t think my sense of self or my self-esteem would ever recover from the blow. Let’s just call it out right now. I remember the media giving me the nickname ‘Plastic Chopra’ after my surgery. Immediately the name started to show up in articles and newspaper items and it has followed me my entire professional life.” The actor also revealed how she had to follow up with some other surgeries to correct her look.

On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra will be next seen in It’s All Coming Back To Me, and the series Citadel. She also has Farhan Akhtar’s friendship tale Jee Le Zara alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in her kitty.
