Bollywood veteran Pooja Bhatt is known for her badass attitude. The actress does not shy away from sharing her unfiltered opinions and doesn’t mince words in doing so. After creating waves with her stint on reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’, Pooja appeared on Siddharth Kanan’s talk show. During her conversation with the host, she opened up on her viral kissing picture with father Mahesh Bhatt for the first time since it was released on the cover page of a magazine in the ’90s.

Siddharth asked the actress about her controversial kissing photo with her dad from the ’90s and questioned if she regrets doing it. In her reply, Pooja called it an innocent moment shared between a child and a parent. She said that she sees it in a simple way. It was a ‘frozen moment’ which got represented and misinterpreted in any way the people wanted. The actress stated:

“I remember Shah Rukh told me that when you have daughters, and when they are young, how often a child just say, ‘Mummy papa give me a kiss’. And they go this way. I am still at this age a kid of 10 pounds for my father. And it will remain the same for lifetime.”

Further talking about it, Pooja said that she doesn’t want to defend it. She added how people who can look at a father-daughter relationship in this way can do anything. The actress quoted:

“The moment that got captured was absolutely innocent. And then came its conotations. I am not here to defend my stance on it. I don’t care. Jinko padhna hai vo padhge, jinko dekhna hai vo dekhege. People see a child-parent relationship in such a way and then talk about family values. Such a great joke.”

In the same conversation, Pooja also addressed the insane rumour that Alia Bhatt is the love child of her and Mahesh. She tagged it ‘idiotic’ and said that she doesn’t entertain such unnecessary speculations.

For the unversed, Pooja Bhatt was eighteen years old when she created a stir about her lip-lock with father Mahesh Bhatt. It was a time when kisses were not common even on screen. Till today, people spill hate over Pooja and Mahesh for the same picture.
