Porn Case: Raj Kundra Breaks Silence, Requests Media Not To Drag Shilpa Shetty’s Name
Actor Shilpa Shetty’s name has surfaced in media reports following alleged Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at her home, linked to her husband Raj Kundra’s ongoing case involving explicit content and alleged money laundering. However, her lawyer has categorically denied any such raid or involvement, asserting Shetty’s innocence.
Breaking his silence, Raj Kundra addressed the controversy on Instagram, urging media outlets to refrain from linking his wife to the case. “It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect boundaries,” he wrote, adding the hashtag “#ED.” Kundra expressed frustration with the sensationalism surrounding the case, asserting that it cannot overshadow the truth.
He further highlighted his cooperation with a four-year investigation, expressing confidence in his eventual exoneration. “As for the claims of associates, p*rnography, and money laundering, let’s just say that no amount of sensationalism will cloud the truth; in the end, justice will prevail!” he stated.
Earlier, Shilpa Shetty’s lawyer, Prashant Patil, issued a statement clarifying that the actress has no connection to the case or any illegal activities. Dismissing reports of an ED raid at her residence as baseless, he emphasized that the ongoing investigation pertains solely to her husband. Patil also urged media outlets to cease using Shetty’s images or videos when reporting on the matter, warning of potential legal action against violators.
The case, which has been under investigation since May 2022, initially led to Raj Kundra’s arrest alongside several associates. Kundra has consistently maintained his innocence, claiming he was wrongfully implicated. Following a brief period in custody, he was released on bail and has since been cooperating with authorities.
The controversy also implicates actors Poonam Pandey, Sherlyn Chopra, Umesh Kamat, and officials associated with Raj Kundra Films. While Kundra has faced accusations of creating and distributing explicit content through online platforms, he has denied any involvement in illegal activities.
The ongoing media coverage has drawn criticism from both Kundra and Shetty’s legal team, who stress the importance of accurate reporting and respect for personal boundaries. Despite the controversy, Kundra remains confident that justice will ultimately clear his name.
