Prince Harry and Meghan Announces Birth of Baby Girl’s Name Her Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now a family of four! Meghan, Britain’s Duchess of Sussex, has given birth to her second child, a baby girl, at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. Their daughter weighed in at 7 lbs, 11 oz.

Meghan and Harry also took to their website Archwell to share a heartwarming message, writing, “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

Her first name, Lilibet, is the childhood nickname name of her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Her middle name is in honor of her grandmother and Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.

On Valentine’s day, the couple had shared a stunning black and white photo announcing their pregnancy. In the photo, both of them look lovingly at each other; Meghan can be seen resting in Harry’s lap, where both of them look at each other smiling (and barefoot !).

Harry and American actor Meghan Markle married at Windsor Castle in May 2018. Their son Archie was born a year later.

In a shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey Prince Harry and Meghan announced they were expecting a girl, in which she also talked about how she felt trapped and suicidal in the early days of marriage.

The couple stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, citing British media’s intrusion and racial attitude towards the Dutchess. They both are now settled near Santa Barbara, California, US.
