Priyanka Chopra Believes That Actors Are Given Too Much Credit About Their Roles In Films; Says, “They Do Nothing”
The actress has accomplished much professionally since her debut in Bollywood in the flick The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in 2003. Since then, she has become a star known all over the world. She has worked on various international projects, including the science-fiction films The Matrix and Quantico. She will soon be seen in Citadel, a production by the Russo Brothers.
Recently, PeeCee was asked how it feels to work alongside the best individuals in the world. She said working with top directors taught her how to be the best actor. She proceeded by stating that actors are given excessive credit and that their only duty is to bring a story to life.
The Interview
In an interview with Janice Sequeira, Priyanka Chopra said that working with the best names in the world enables one to take chances. “This is not simply about collaborating with the most accomplished Americans in the business; working with the top filmmakers taught me how to be the most outstanding actor, even when working in Bollywood.
Actors get an excessive amount of credit despite their lack of power. We make no effort. This subject has been explored before. Actors are passive,” Priyanka said. She explained the statement by stating that “performers work from a script written by another person and dance to choreography likewise devised by another person.
We lip-synch and sing songs in someone else’s voice, work on a movie written by someone else, and we recite the words of others. While dancing, we are following someone else’s choreography. We participate in marketing when we get requests from other parties. Someone clothes us, while another person does our hair and applies our makeup. What, then, am I doing?” Priyanka asked.
She proceeded by stating that one of her duties as an actor is to give life to the words written in a script. “Thus, my labour happens just between the action and the cut. Within the first thirty seconds of the scenario, I enter. After then, when I discuss the film, etc., I play a minor role. Despite this, she claimed that very few people could do this due to the pressure required. She did agree, though, that the performers are “a village.”
On The Work Front
The Russo Brothers’ movie Citadel, which will be available on Prime Video, will be Priyanka Chopra’s subsequent work.
In a film that was apparently first named “Text for You,” then renamed to “It’s All Coming Back to Me,” and is now called “Love Again,” Priyanka will co-star with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. It will now be shown in cinemas on May 12, 2023, as opposed to its previous February release date.
In Jee Le Zaraa, Priyanka will also star with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, who just had a baby daughter. One of the most exciting initiatives is this one. Priyanka recently visited and learned that the three will begin filming the Farhan Akhtar film in 2023.
