At that time, the shooting of ‘Big Brother’ was going on in Hyderabad. This was the time of 2002-2003. Guddu Dhanoa told one of the media houses ‘Bollywood Hungama’, ‘She used to say please explain to me how to do this. This means that she has a hunger to learn. It was always there in her and she wanted to do this. She wanted to do it very well and her looks were also good.’

But after 15-20 days of shooting the film, Guddu Dhanoa and the team started hearing negative things about Priyanka Chopra from Mumbai. He said, ‘When we shot for 15-20 days, we started getting reports from Mumbai that she looked very bad. She is a very bad actor, please see the rushes. So, I said okay, we will see. But despite this negativity, Sunny Deol stood with Priyanka Chopra like a shield.’

Sunny Deol was not only the hero in ‘Big Brother’, but was also the producer of this film. Guddu Dhanoa further said, ‘We saw the rushes, whatever we had shot there, however much we had shot, and after seeing the rushes, Sunny Deol and I, both of us decided that we will work with this girl and complete the film with this girl only. And I think we liked her. I mean we liked her screen presence. We thought she would grow and progress, and we were right.’ Guddu Dhanoa, Sunny Deol’s father and actor Dharmendra’s cousin, said that he was touched when Priyanka invited him to her wedding reception in Mumbai. Guddu Dhanoa said that she is growing rapidly as an actress, and she has improved a lot.
