Fans of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna were in for a surprise on January 30 when their highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule arrived on OTT platforms just two months after its theatrical release. This unexpected move delighted movie buffs, who wasted no time in binge-watching the action-packed drama. While the sudden digital release was a treat for many, it also sparked a wave of reviews on social media—some praising the film as ‘pure perfection,’ while others were less impressed, dubbing it an ‘unbearable cringefest.’

One particular scene from the film has taken the internet by storm. In an intense action sequence, Allu Arjun’s character, Pushpa Raj, performs an over-the-top fight scene where he defies gravity to battle his enemies. In this dramatic moment, Pushpa’s hands are bound by a rope, but he continues to take on his attackers using his legs and even his teeth. At one point, he holds a sickle knife in his mouth while using his bound limbs to fend off the villains. Fans of the actor were quick to praise the scene, with many describing it as a ‘Godly’ moment.

However, the gravity-defying sequence has also drawn heavy criticism from viewers who have taken to social media to voice their opinions. In a Reddit post showcasing the fight, one user sarcastically wrote, “We really need action choreographers who respect gravity and the laws of physics.” Another netizen humorously pointed out, “I couldn’t stop laughing when he straight up launches himself into the air, moves around like a boomerang, and starts biting everybody while his hands and feet are bound.”

The sequence has also sparked comparisons to other over-the-top action films. One social media user likened it to the absurdity of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (2023), referencing a scene in which the actor is seen flying a plane. For some viewers, this particular fight scene was a step too far, with one commenting, “It’s absolute crap… Probably one of the worst films I saw last year.”

Despite the divided opinions, Pushpa 2 continues to make waves in the entertainment world, raking in both praise and ridicule. With the film now available on a broader OTT platform, it remains to be seen how audiences will continue to react to the highly charged action sequences and over-the-top stunts that have become a trademark of the Pushpa franchise.
