Pakistani actress Mahira Khan found a fan base in India too after her successful debut opposite Shah Rukh khan in ‘Raees’. Besides this, Mahira attracted eyeballs for her alleged relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor. Now, recently, a video showing Mahira dancing to rumoured ex-boyfriend Ranbir’s popular song at a wedding has gone viral on social media. Internet is reacting in interesting ways to this clip.
The video begins with Pakistani celebs including Ms. Marvel actress Mehwish Hayat lip-syncing and grooving to the song ‘Channa Mereya’ from Karan Johar’s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The footage also has Mahira in it and it is from a reception party. For the night, Mahira opted for a black pantsuit.
‘Channa Mereya’ is a hit track sung by Arijit Singh. It is picturised on Ranbir and Anushka Sharma. The 2016 film also featured Mahira’s good friend Fawad Khan in a cameo.

As soon as the video went viral, netizens began reacting to it. One user wrote, “Saccha pyaar”. Another joked, “EX Ki Yaadein.” A third one pointed out how Mahira asked the person recording the clip to stop doing it. “Jab camera dikha to band kar diya lmao,” read a comment. “Pyaar Sacha tha”, said a user.
Let us tell you that a few months back, Mahira was captured as she performed on stage with her friends on Ranbir’s song ‘Dance Ka Bhoot’ from ‘Brahmastra’. Her clip shaking a leg enthusiastically on alleged former boyfriend’s song went viral in no time.
For the uninitiated, a few photos of Mahira and Ranbir smoking cigarettes together caused a stir on the internet in 2017. The pictures that came from the USA sparked rumours about their relationship. The actors were later spotted together at an awards function in Dubai in the same year.

Mahira Khan began her career as a VJ with ‘Most Wanted’ on MTV Pakistan. She forayed into acting with ‘Bol’ in 2011. The actress tasted fame with the TV show ‘Humsafar’ opposite Fawad. Mahira marked her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 2017 with ‘Raees’. After the release, Pakistani artistes faced a ban in the Indian film industry and hence, Mahira could not appear in any other Indian projects.
