Television actress, Nishi Singh, known for appearing on famous shows like Hitler Didi, Qubool Hai, Ishqbaaaz, and Tenali Rama breathed her last on September 18, 2022.
In an interview, Singh’s husband writer-actor Sanjay Bhadli has opened up on how Nishi suffered a lot during her last days. He told that she was fighting serious health issues from last two years and bid adieu to the world post two days of celebrating her 50th birthday. Sanjay also talked about financial woes the family was going through while meeting medical expenses of the late actress.
He revealed that Nishi’s health was deteriorating and that she had suffered three strokes within almost two years. In her last days, she got a throat infection which made the situation even more worse.
“After she suffered the second stroke on February 3 (a year after the first stroke), she started showing signs of recovery. However, she suffered another one in May 2022 and her health started deteriorating. We admitted her to the hospital and she was discharged later. Last few weeks, she found it difficult to eat because of a severe throat infection. She stopped eating solid food and we could only feed her liquids. The biggest irony is that we celebrated her 50th birthday the day before yesterday (September 16). Though she couldn’t talk, she seemed very happy. I requested her to eat her favourite besan ka laddoo and she did,” stated Sanjay.
Nishi Singh is survived by her husband and two children, a 21-year-old son and a 18-year-old daughter. Her demise has come as a huge loss for the entertainment industry. Condolences are pouring in for the late actor.
