Anya Taylor-Joy Reveals Which Disney Character She Wants To Play

In an interview, actress Anya Taylor-Joy expressed her desire to explore challenging roles in the future, including a musical, and picked an iconic Disney princess as her ideal role! Anya Taylor Joy is ready to move on from her angry roles in Furiosa: Mad Max Saga. In an interview with Vogue Hong Kong, the actress stated that she would love to challenge herself with a musical part and selected a classic Disney princess she would like to play. “I really want to do a musical because I’m a little too obsessed with my current job,” she told reporters. As someone who enjoys demanding parts, she finds the prospect of “singing, dancing, and acting at the same time” quite appealing.

When asked about her dream musical role, the actor mentions Disney’s ice princess Elsa. “I think Frozen is going to be fantastic. “Shooting ice cubes out of your hands is a lot of fun,” she continued. Aside from pushing out her abilities as an actor, this role would also provide her with the opportunity to play the cool aunt. “I want all of my siblings’ children to be able to say, ‘My aunt has the name Elsa.’ “That would be wonderful,” she said.

Taylor Joy’s versatility, as shown in roles such as Furiosa and Beth Harmon in Queen’s Gambit, suggests she could be an excellent choice to play Elsa. The live-action adaptation of Disney’s hit animation series is being discussed by fans, and the studio has not revealed any future plans for the film. Disney is now working on the animation franchise’s third and fourth installments, with the former set to be released in 2027.
