Popular Bollywood actor R Madhavan known for his role as Maddy has recently shared an incident in which he was deceived by an AI-generated video featuring footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and cricketer Virat Kohli. In one of his recent interviews with one of the media houses, the actor revealed that he realized his mistake when Virat’s wife Anushka Sharma personally messaged him about this.

Let us tell you that R Madhavan recently attended an interview in which he was asked if he has ever been deceived in real life. He recalled an incident related to deepfake videos and said, ‘In the reel I saw, someone was praising Virat Kohli a lot. I think it was Ronaldo. He used to enjoy watching Virat Kohli bat and how great he thought he was.’

The actor admitted that he thought this video was real And he also shared it on Instagram. However, soon after, Anushka told him that the video was fake and it had been created using AI. He admitted that he felt embarrassed after falling for the fake video and sharing it on social media. R Madhavan further talked about the videos and pictures being created by AI and how even an aware person like him can be misled.

He said, ‘It’s embarrassing for me to accept that even a person like me, who is quite aware, was completely misled and then when they pointed out the flaws to me I realized that oh yes, this is very messed up, so you have to be very careful on social media that whatever you are forwarding is very reliable.
