Radhika Apte Shares Baby-Bump Photoshoot Week Before Delivery, Shares Her Pregnancy Struggles
Radhika Apte is making waves with her latest photoshoot, where she proudly reveals her baby bump for the first time after keeping her pregnancy under wraps for most of the year. The actor, known for her strong performances on screen, opened up about the challenges she faced in embracing her changing appearance during pregnancy.
The monochromatic images, captured for a magazine feature, showcase Radhika’s understated elegance. She dons shades of brown and monochrome hues, with her hair sleekly pinned back and minimal makeup that highlights her natural glow. Her radiant smile and effortless style shine through in the photos, capturing a cool, confident vibe.

Reflecting on the photo shoot, Radhika shared, “I did this photo shoot a week before giving birth. Truth is, I struggled to embrace how I looked at the time. I had never seen myself put on so much weight. My body was swollen, I had shooting pains in my pelvis, and the lack of sleep had skewed my perspective on everything.” She further explained that just two weeks into motherhood, her body had already begun to change again.
Radhika now looks back on her pregnancy with a new perspective, saying, “A different perspective has set in. I look at these photos with much kinder eyes and feel bad for being so hard on myself. Now, I can see only beauty in these changes, and I know I will cherish these photos forever.”
In the interview, the actor also mentioned her plans to stay in London until the end of February, before returning to India to resume work.
Radhika had first let the world in on her pregnancy in October when she made a surprise appearance at the BFI London Film Festival. While attending the screening of Sister Midnight, she flaunted her baby bump in a black, off-shoulder midi dress.
Last week, Radhika shared the joyous news of welcoming a baby girl. In a heartfelt post, she shared the first glimpse of her newborn, showing herself breastfeeding her baby while sitting on a bed with a laptop in front of her. Radhika has been married to British violinist and composer Benedict Taylor since 2012. The couple, who prefer to maintain a low profile, met in 2011 while Radhika was in London and married in a private ceremony the following year.
