Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has targeted Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai for attending the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony during his speech in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Sunday. He blamed the central government for inviting Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai but not any OBC and SC/ST faces.

Contrary to Gandhi’s statement, Aishwarya hadn’t attended the Pran Pratistha ceremony. It was Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan who attended the event and not Aishwarya Rai. Gandhi is thus being trolled for falsely naming her.

Rahul Gandhi Vs Bachchans

Rahul Gandhi mentioned in his speech how the people who truly run the nation didn’t attend the Pran Pratistha in Ayodhya but Bollywood biggies and PM Modi did.

“Did you see the ‘Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha’? Did you see any OBC or ST/SC faces? It was attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Bachchan, and PM Narendra Modi, but we didn’t see the people who truly run the country. These people want to ensure that you guys can never control the country,” said Rahul Gandhi.

The 53-year-old leader further blamed media channels and news agencies for showing the dance of Aishwarya Rai but not the farmers’ issue. In his words: “Media mein kuch dikhana hai toh Aishwarya Rai ko nachte huye dikhana hai, Modi ji ko 24 ghante dikhana hai, Amitabh Bachchan ko wahan pe dikhana hai, jo desh k mudde hai uske baare mein nahi bolna”.

Rahul Gandhi Trolled For Spreading Misinformation About Aishwarya Rai

Since the time, Rahul Gandhi has named Aishwarya Rai as the attendee of Pran Pratishtha, he has been trolled for spreading misinformation.

A Twitter user writes: @RahulGandhi for your kind information Aishwarya Rai Bachchan didn’t attend the  Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha in Ayodhya.

For the unversed, the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place on 22nd January 2024 in Ayodhya. Many Bollywood celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Ayushmann Khurana attended the ceremony.
