The veteran actor’s fan following was huge, fans used to shower a lot of love on him and his white car as well. However, by the end of the 70s, his stardom had started to fade away somewhere and other stars started taking his place. In his will, reportedly made a month before his death on July 18, 2012, Rajesh Khanna had left his property and bungalow ‘Aashirwad’, to his daughters Twinkle and Rinke by excluding his wife Dimple Kapadia from the will.

Let us tell you that a day before his demise, Rajesh Khanna’s alleged live-in partner Anita Advani had sent a legal notice to his family claiming her right over his property and called herself Khanna’s surrogate wife. She revealed her involvement in Rajesh Khanna’s will and said, ‘I took care of him, handled his bungalow, and even kept Karwa Chauth fast for him.’ Despite her claims, Rajesh Khanna’s family reportedly distanced themselves from her during his last days and even excluded her from the funeral.

In an interview with one of the media houses, Anita Advani demanded her compensation for taking care of and supporting Rajesh Khanna in his career and said, ‘I was with him during his lonely times.’ Advani also talked about converting Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow Ashirwad into a museum, saying that it was Rajesh Khanna’s dream and now she believes that this dream was ignored after his death.
