Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, once considered one of Bollywood’s most adored couples, shocked fans when they announced their separation in 2014. In a recent interview with Yuva, Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, spoke candidly about their divorce, offering insight into the family’s dynamic post-split.

Rakesh Roshan made it clear that despite the end of their marriage, Sussanne remains an integral part of their family. He said, “Whatever has happened has happened between the couple, for me Sussanne is Sussanne. They were the ones who fell in love, they were the ones who had a misunderstanding, and they had to solve it. For us, she came to our house, and she is still a member of the house.” His comments reflect the Roshan family’s supportive stance towards Sussanne, emphasising that she continues to be welcome in their lives.

In the same interview, Rakesh Roshan shared details about his evolving relationship with his son, Hrithik. The senior Roshan explained that while Hrithik and his daughter might have been somewhat intimidated by him in their younger years, their bond has grown stronger over time. “Hrithik and my daughter are a little scared of me. I don’t know, maybe because I am a well-disciplined man. I am not a short-tempered person, I am not a person who will scold anybody but I am very disciplined,” he revealed. Rakesh added that as Hrithik grew older, their relationship shifted to one of mutual respect and friendship. “When they were little, they wouldn’t talk to me openly, now they do. Now we are like friends at home.”

Despite their separation, Hrithik and Sussanne continue to co-parent their two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, and are often seen together at family events. Hrithik is currently in a relationship with actress Saba Azad, while Sussanne is dating actor Arslan Goni. The two former spouses, along with their partners, are frequently spotted socialising together, showing that they maintain a healthy, amicable relationship.
