Kapoor recalled Rakhi’s struggles, including alleged attempts by Bollywood to “misuse” her talent, and commended her triumph as a self-made celebrity. “She lives in a 3 BHK sea-facing apartment in Mumbai, which she owns. Respect! She achieved this herself,” Kapoor said, acknowledging her remarkable achievements.

Ram Kapoor’s association with Rakhi dates back to 2009, when he hosted her reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar. The show, which garnered massive attention, ended with Rakhi getting engaged to Elesh Parujanwala, though the relationship was short-lived. Reflecting on that period, Kapoor shared that he witnessed Rakhi’s unwavering determination and growth firsthand.
Kapoor also addressed the darker aspects of her journey. “She has faced many bad experiences,” he said, adding, “No godfather, nothing. Bollywood wanted to misuse her as a nice, sexy dancer, but she proved everyone wrong.” While he admitted that he doesn’t always agree with her opinions or actions, Kapoor emphasized the importance of respecting her resilience and accomplishments.

“For five years, I was on a weight loss roller coaster, losing 30 kilos and then gaining it back,” Kapoor revealed during the podcast. He credited his ultimate success to persistence, despite facing several setbacks along the way.
