The administration of Mahakal temple also requested Ranbir and Alia to go for darshan. But they didn’t go. Mishra further said that artists should not use words that hurt the sentiments of the people.

Hindu organizations protested at the entrance of the temple over Ranbir Kapoor’s 10-year-old beef-eating statement. After which Alia and Ranbir had to take shelter at the residence of Ujjain Collector Ashish Singh, while seeing the situation, the couple canceled the decision to go to the temple.
