He is not afraid to express his thoughts on any subject. He recently responded to Nitesh Kumar’s Ramayana. He believes Ranbir Kapoor is the greatest choice for the role. However, he is not so sure about Alia bhatt.

Sunil Lahiri said this on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan

Sunil was questioned in an interview with Hindustan Times whether he agreed with the casting of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming Ramayana film.

Sunil Lahiri responded, “Both are very good actors, and I think they will do justice to the subject.” Ranbir is an excellent choice for the character of Ram and is capable of delivering an brilliant performance. Alia is also incredibly gifted, however I believe that if Alia had played Sita 5 years ago, she would have done the character more justice. This is my personal viewpoint. Alia has evolved a lot in the last few years, in my opinion. I’m not sure how convincing she’ll be as Sita right now.

Sunil Lahiri Requests makers to not change the decency of Ramayana
