Alia Bhatt has been on very good terms with Ranbir’s family. The Kapoor clan has accepted Alia with open arms. Not only the Kapoor clan Alia too had been there for the family through thick and thin. When Rishi Kapoor was in New York undergoing cancer treatment the actress would make sure to pay a regular visit to Rishi ji. It was on Ranbir’s last birthday when Alia had planned for a surprise birthday party for her beau along with his mother Neetu Kapoor.
Kareena and Karisma’s cousin Armaan Jain recently celebrated his birthday along with close friends and family. Yesterday, Karisma had taken to Instagram to share a few pictures from Armaan Jain’s birthday bash wherein Alia can be seen chilling with Ranbir Kapoor’s cousins and relatives. In the picture, Alia can be seen holding Ranbir’s arms and happily posing at the camera. Alia looked gorgeous in a floral blue dress while Ranbir had complemented her look in a denim shirt. A close family friend of the Kapoor family had once shared with a media portal, “She has been welcomed into the family by everyone. So it’s not just Ranbir who loves Alia. His parents, sister and the rest of the sprawling Kapoor family adore her too. Marriage is on Ranbir’s mind for sure and he will get into it happily this time. The couple will wait until Rishi Kapoor’s recovery before discussing a date for marriage.”
Ranbir’s father had once opened up about Ranbir and Alia’s relationship and had stated, “Jo hai woh hai, sabko pata hai. I don’t need to say anything more.” In yet another interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rishi ji had stated, “Neetu likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her. Get it? I can’t be judgmental. After all, my uncles Shammiji and Shashiji and I chose our life partners. Ranbir is entitled to choose his.”
Rumour of their marriage takes over social media every now and then. Speaking about the same a source had revealed to an online portal, “Bhatts and Kapoors will meet a Pandit together to zero down on some auspicious dates for the shaadi and one of those dates will be finalised. There is loose talk that the Pandit meeting date has been fixed up for April.”
As per another online tabloid, Alia-Ranbir’s wedding won’t happen before 2020. “Alia is in a great phase of her life right now. She is in love and they both are sure of each other. Marriage is certainly on the cards but it won’t happen before 2020.”
In a recent interview during the promotions of Kalank, Alia had talked about her marriage plans and had stated, “Not at all! I feel it’s all unnecessary chatter. You have to understand that personal life is called ‘personal’ for a reason. In fact, that’s why not many speak up about their relationships. The minute you say anything, there are random pieces of news including my supposed marriage.”
Speaking about her idea of marriage Alia had once told a media portal, “But marriage is something that hasn’t even crossed my mind. I am not averse to it. But it’s not a part of my plan right now. I have a lot of work to do. It’s not as if I won’t work post marriage, whenever it happens. But right now, my focus is just on work. My priorities will probably shift in time. As of now, it hasn’t.”
