Randeep Hooda spoke candidly about his feelings in a recent interview when he was left out while his “Sarbjit” co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won numerous honours for the movie.

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has often shown his adaptability in a variety of films, such as Jism 2, Highway, and Extraction. Nonetheless, he played a part in Sarbjit that has never been matched because of his incredible performance, which astounded everyone. Randeep is now preparing for his directing debut, which will be a biography called Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.

Randeep Hooda says on Aishwarya Rai getting awards for her stint in Sarbjit

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Randeep Hooda was questioned if he felt ‘disappointed, betrayed, or outraged’ when his co-star, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, garnered tremendous credit while he was disregarded in Sarbjit. In response, he stated that it would not be beneficial for an artist to determine their value based just on the quantity of accolades they have received. But he continued, saying that it would be improper of him to assert that he was deserving of more than Aishwarya, saying:

“Firstly, as an artist, if you are gauging your worth on the basis of how many awards you’ve won, it’s not going to be very helpful. The recognition that you get from your fraternity can be encouraging, but all I can say is that I’m happy for Aishwarya that she won, even though I didn’t. To now complain that I deserved it more would be unbecoming. If people say it, that’s a victory in itself.”

Randeep Hooda admits he felt upset about being overlooked in Sarbjit film

Along the same lines, Randeep stated that he never expressed his feelings over being overlooked in Sarbjit, despite the fact that he felt terrible. In addition, he said that he didn’t want to allow someone much power over his own perception of himself, thus he overcame the circumstance and moved on to the next thing. According to Randeep:

“I’ve never indulged in this kind of talk, because it would seem like a case of sour grapes. Did I feel bad? Of course I did. But it’s not like the world ended. You move on to the next thing. But as an actor and filmmaker, if I give others this much control about my own self-image, I would’ve been done a long time ago.”

Randeep Hooda spoke about his experience of working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Randeep Hooda previously talked about his experience working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the movie Sarbjit in an interview with Humans of Bombay. Speaking about the same subject, he stated that although they didn’t have many scenes together, the actress had a very real presence on set. Randeep added that the crew didn’t fully succeed in making Aishwarya appear more realistic and straightforward, despite their best attempts. The actress appeared surreal, he continued, and he said:

“She was great, very courteous, and she did her job well. She’s all there, she’s very sincere about it. Although we didn’t have many interactions on set because a lot of my scenes were away from her, whenever we did, she was all that she’s made out to be. They tried their best to make her look real, but she’s so unreal.”
