Podcaster and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his YouTube channel BeerBiceps, has come under fire for his appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia’s attempts to engage with the show’s dark humor have sparked widespread outrage online, with many calling for stricter regulation of such content on digital platforms.
The controversial show, streamed on YouTube, features Raina and a panel of celebrity judges who assess contestants based on their performances. Contestants must predict their scores accurately to win. While the show has gained popularity for its unfiltered humor, it has also faced criticism for its use of profanity and controversial jokes.

Allahbadia’s Remarks Spark Outrage
In the latest episode, Allahbadia directed an explicit question at a contestant, asking, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” While the remark was met with laughter from Raina and other panellists, many viewers found it highly inappropriate. One user on social media reacted, “What do I do to unhear that horrible Ranveer Allahbadia clip?”
Imagine the Indian celebrities, business czars & politicians who invite or do podcasts with men like @BeerBicepsGuy & @ReheSamay
If vulgarity & obscenity had any limit, such men annihilated it

The backlash extended beyond this comment. Referring to Allahbadia’s Disruptor of the Year award at the National Creator Awards, a social media user questioned, “He won an award from the Prime Minister. After his vile incest-related remarks, will this award be taken back? Or do awards come with no accountability?”
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?”
Meet the perverted creators who are shaping our country’s creative economy. I am sure each one has a following of millions.

Calls for Regulation of Online Content
Allahbadia also faced criticism for a remark about Kerala’s literacy rates, with some accusing him of targeting the state unfairly. “Ranveer is laughing the hardest in the video bashing Kerala. And for what? Literacy? Makes sense! Most of his fake news/hate-mongering videos are debunked by Malayalees anyway,” wrote one user.
As the outrage grows, many social media users are calling on authorities to regulate content on YouTube-based shows like India’s Got Latent. One post tagged India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, urging action against “unfiltered shows spreading vulgarity and cheapness.”
This is not the first time the show has faced controversy. Previously, a complaint was filed over a joke about dog meat. With the latest backlash, the debate over the limits of online content and dark humor continues to intensify.
