The debate, further fueled by his ‘Brown Munde’ reference, sparked a firestorm of mixed reactions online. This incident has thrust the boundaries of artistic expression and respect for musical instruments into the spotlight, leaving the audience captivated by the ongoing discussion.

The Tribute To Sidhu Moosewala

Dhillon seemed to pay tribute to the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala during the concert. He posted a picture of him from the stage, where a message in the background read, “Justice for Sidhu Moosewala.” This gesture was a heartfelt tribute to the late singer, showing Dhillon’s respect and admiration for his fellow artists.

Dhillon faced flak from netizens for his act. However, fellow musician King defended him, stating. He said, “Many people are like, ‘Let’s just hate AP, because it’s in trend’. If you feel what he did was wrong, then be the bigger person and forgive him. Those criticizing him are the same people who will be making reels on his song, saying, ‘woah, it’s the best’. If you don’t like what he did, don’t call him the best. I feel AP is really misunderstood as an artiste.”

Previously, Gippy had also defended Dhillon’s act at Coachella 2024 and had told news18,

“I’ve seen that clip. I don’t know why he broke his guitar. I assume that it was a part of his act. I don’t really know what happened onstage but sometimes what happens is that you plan for a certain thing to go a certain way but it goes all wrong. None of us want to intentionally hurt anyone or their sentiments but sometimes, we end up doing it unintentionally.”
