Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda Spark Romance Buzz At India Day Parade In New York

Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda once again set social media abuzz after they were spotted together at the 43rd India Day Parade in New York City on Sunday. While the two have long been rumoured to be dating, neither has publicly confirmed their relationship. Their latest public appearance, however, has reignited chatter about their undeniable chemistry.

A viral video from the parade showed Rashmika and Vijay—both serving as Grand Marshals—walking hand-in-hand along Manhattan’s streets. The moment drew loud cheers from fans, but as soon as they noticed cameras, the duo quickly let go of each other’s hands and began waving at the crowd. Photos from the event also captured them sharing warm glances, standing close, and chatting animatedly.

Vijay opted for a beige sherwani, while Rashmika looked elegant in a beige suit paired with a rich red dupatta, making them one of the most talked-about pairs of the parade. Fans couldn’t hold back their excitement. One admirer wrote, “They already look married to me.” Another gushed, “Guys, my #Virosh is back after so long. The vibe, the grace, the cuteness—I don’t think I can sleep tonight.” A third fan added, “They honestly look damn cute together. At first glance, I thought they had actually tied the knot.”

The duo’s romance rumours date back to 2018 when they starred together in the blockbuster Geetha Govindam, followed by Dear Comrade in 2019. Since then, Rashmika has been seen bonding with Vijay’s family and even accompanied them to a screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Earlier this year, the pair was also photographed leaving the airport in the same car, fuelling speculation that they may soon go public with their relationship.

On the work front, Vijay was last seen in Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnauri, co-starring Satyadev and Bhagyashree Borse. Despite much anticipation, the film earned only ₹82 crore worldwide. Rashmika, meanwhile, is gearing up for Thama, part of Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. The film is slated for a Diwali 2025 release.
