The controversy related with superstar Shahrukh Khan’s comeback film Pathaan is gaining momentum with each passing day. As soon as the first song from the upcoming movie ‘Besharam Rang’ got released, there began a strong protest against the film. From social media to political corridors like Hindu organizations and Muslim Ulemas, people from various spheres started lodging complaints on Khan-starrer action thriller and taking efforts to prevent its screening in theatres.
Now, this entire row has left Bollywood divided. While some are calling the track obscene due to bold costumes Deepika Padukone is donning in it, some celebrities like Swara Bhaskar, Prakash Raj, and Onir have also come out in support of the song. The latest to speak in favor of Pathaan and its track is veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah. In a recent interview, the actress reprimanded those who are opposing the release of film. She said that she is waiting for the day when hatred will finally die down in people.
Taking her point further, the Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai actress said that she is hoping for Indians to become more sensible. “They will come out in due time, because what is happening, this feeling of fear, feeling of exclusion is not going to last for long. I think humans cannot tolerate hatred beyond a point. There is a rebellion, but after a while you get tired of this hatred. I am waiting for that day to come,” she added.
On the work front, Ratna Pathak Shah is on a promotional spree for Kutch Express. The film is all set to hit the theaters on January 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, Pathaan is releasing on January 25, 2023. It is directed by Siddharth Anand. Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, the flick also stars John Abraham.
