The Calcutta High Court has allowed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to be filed seeking a CBI probe by advocate Ravi Shankar Chatterjee in the singer KK’s death case. On May 31, while performing at a live concert in Kolkata, his health deteriorated and he died on the way to the hospital. Fans and family suspected that something inappropriate had happened to them. Now PIL has been filed regarding this.
According to media reports, second public interest litigation has also been filed in the Calcutta High Court seeking further investigation into the death of singer KK by an independent agency. The petitioner has alleged that there was a lot of mismanagement in his last music concert. The petitioner also said that due to the negligence of that college, such an accident happened to Singer. He directly blames the college where KK’s last concert was held.
Earlier on Saturday, the post-mortem and chemical analysis report of singer-songwriter Krishnakumar Kunnath came out. The cause of death in both the reports is ‘myocardial infarction’. However, questions arose after his death, on which this PIL has been filed to put an end to it. Now it is to be seen what evidence does lawyer Ravi Shankar Chatterjee have to prepare the court for CBI investigation.
The news of KK’s death sent a wave of mourning across the country. Many, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, condoled his death. Several celebrities from the film industry also shared the post remembering KK. Akshay Kumar, Vishal Dadlani, Karan Johar, Arshad Warsi, Anushka Sharma and other celebs took to social media to pay their last respects. Recently at IIFA 2022, all the artists gave a tribute to KK. Neha Kakkar also performed on her favorite song.
