Reddit has received an old footage of director SS Rajamouli making a comparison between the two actors Hrithik Roshan and Prabhas. SS Rajamouli, director of the Baahubali films, once remarked that Prabhas is better than Hrithik Roshan. In 2008, at the premiere of the Billa trailer, starring Prabhas, something occurred. Rajamouli made the comparison between the performers after witnessing some pictures from the film Billa.

There has been a mixed reaction to a videotape of Rajamouli’s remarks that recently appeared on Reddit. When Dhoom 2 came out two years ago, I wondered why only Bollywood could make such outstanding films,” Rajamouli stated in the clip. Is it true that India lacks heroes of the calibre of Hrithik Roshan? I’ve heard the music, seen the picture, and watched the trailer for Billa, and there’s just one thing I can say about it. Users have conflicting reactions to Rajamouli’s previous remark. Among the comments, one user said, “I can affirm the translation is little bit all over but SSR stated it & that’s 15 years ago when nobody used to look at Telugu cinema and audio launch speeches were a thing here” (to hype the main lead etc). A minor beef with Sri Devi and Jakanna’s emotions get the best of him, and he has a tendency to fling words into the air.
It’s not true that “Hrithik is little compared to Prabhas.” He claimed people think Telugu movie doesn’t have stars like Hrithik (referring to how attractive he is, apart from acting talent) (referring to how handsome he is, apart from acting talent). Maybe it’s simply a one-time thing, or maybe he’s trying to promote himself as an everyman, or maybe he evolved into a more humble fella,” another person speculated.

Billa, directed by Meher Ramesh, was a reworking of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don. It came out in 2009 and stars Prabhas and Anushka Shetty. Even before his success with the Baahubali films, it was one of Prabhas’s most acclaimed Telugu movies.
Hrithik was riding high on the success of Jodhaa Akbar (2008) and Luck By Chance (2009) when Billa came out, while Prabhas was just emerging as a major player in the Telugu cinema industry at the time. Saaho and Radhe Shyam, Prabhas’s two most recent flicks, both underperformed at the box office. Adipurush, Salaar, Raja Deluxe, and Project K will be the next films he appears in.

Conversely, Hrithik’s next film is Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. Also starring in the action flick are Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The release date is set for January 2024.
