Remo D’Souza Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput, Says The Late Actor Wished To Do a Dance Film With Him

Recalling the actor Sushant Singh Rajput is the ace choreographer turned director Remo D’Souza. Quoting the late actor’s conversation with him, Remo says that Sushant once proposed to him to do a dance film together. Till today, the choreographer gets goosebumps thinking of that chat. He further said that he wished he could have done the film as Sushant was an amazing dancer and owned the stage each time he stepped on it.

In an interview to a leading daily, Remo D’Souza said, “Sushant wanted to do a dance film. When he had come on my show, Dance+, for the promotion of one of his movies, he had asked me to work on a dance film with him. I wish I could have.”

Remo further quoted, “Sushant had casually told me, ‘Sir, you know I am a good dancer, let’s do a dance film together.’ I get goosebumps when I think of that conversation.”

For the unknown, Sushant Singh Rajput was a participant and first runner-up in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaja’s fourth season, where Remo was the judge alongside Malaika Arora and Madhuri Dixit.

Praising the late actor, Remo said, “Sushant was an amazing dancer. Right from his first performance on JDJ, we knew he had the potential to win. To me, he was a winner. In fact, I was surprised he lost. He was such a good-looking boy, who owned the stage each time he stepped on it…I’ve always believed that either you are a born dancer or you are a trained dancer. Sushant was a blend of both. He was the perfect mix, someone who learned different forms and performed them with perfection. You could see the finish and finesse, something that I saw while he scorched the JDJ dance floor.”

Last year, on June 14, Sushant was found dead in his home in Bandra. His death became a talking point after his fans and family members accused his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty of abetting his suicide. Sushant’s death is still a mystery and is being probed by the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), along with the ED (Enforcement Directorate) and the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) looking into the financial and drugs-related angles. NCB also noticed some of the leading Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan for alleged drug links.

After the actor’s death last year, his movie Dil Bechara (Indian adaptation of bestseller Fault In Our stars) got an OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. His last theatrical release was Chhichore which also starred Shradhha Kapoor and Varun Sharma.
