Television actress Avika Gor tasted fame at a young age. Her portrayal of ‘Anandi’ in hit daily ‘Balika Vadhu’ made her a household name. After this, she was associated with another popular show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ before foraying into films with South cinema.
Though both ‘Balika Vadhu’ and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ gave Avika much recognition, her character from the latter ‘Roli’ is something which makes her cringe today. In latest interview to promote her upcoming film ‘1920 Horrors Of The Heart’, Avika admitted that her role of ‘Roli’ in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ did many ‘cringe’ and ’embarrassing’ things. She also listed all the illogical sequences she enacted from the show.
While in a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Avika was asked to name one character of hers which makes her cringe. She was not eager to take any name but finally confessed it to be Roli from ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. The actress laughed and said that on the show, she has told a bhoot (ghost) to not take the law into its own hands. She has been stabbed by a trishul. She has gone through the impossible.
Continuing further, Avika stated that she returned from the dead thrice, and kidnapped 50 times in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. She even got married six or seven times. Avika shared how her character wedded the same person thrice and was ‘almost’ married off to someone else at other times.
Meanwhile, Avika Gor is all set to debut in Bollywood with the horror film ‘1920 Horrors Of The Heart’. The film is helmed by famous director Vikram Bhatt’s daughter Krishna Bhatt. It will release in theatres on June 23.
