The charges outlined against Rhea’s brother Shovik show that he was in consistent contact with drug merchants. He used to put orders for the conveyance of Ganja, Charas/Hashish. Shovik took conveyance of hashish from Abdel Basit, Kaizan Ibrahim, Karmjit Singh Anand, and Suryadeep Malhotra among others, and gave it over to Sushant.

For this, Some of the time shovik paid for those conveyances and in some cases through Riya Chakraborty during the period March 2020 to September 2020 to tranquilize merchants.

The NCB, On Tuesday, claimed that the accused supported funding for smuggling inside Mumbai as well as used narcotics like marijuana, charas, and cocaine. Section 27 and 27A have been forced against this multitude of charges for funding unlawful trafficking and holding onto lawbreakers. Aside from this, a case has been enrolled under sections 28 and section 29.

The court will consider the absolution petition of all the accused before framing the charges. Exceptional Judge VG Raghuvanshi, who hears cases connected with the NDPS Act, has fixed July 27 for hearing the matter. That is, presently the following hearing will be held following 15 days.
