The singer, who has had contentious relationships with both Chris Brown and Kanye West, is reportedly using her influence to ensure that the Kardashians, who have ties to both men, are excluded from the prestigious event next year.
According to a source speaking to RadarOnline, Rihanna has a longstanding aversion to the Kardashian family and is particularly focused on keeping Kendall Jenner away from the Gala. “Rihanna has never been a fan of the Kardashians. When Kim was married to Kanye West, she tried to cosy up to Rihanna and got totally shut down,” the source explained. Rihanna’s long-term boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, has a significant role in the 2025 Met Gala as he is on the planning committee, giving the singer considerable sway over the guest list.
The feud with Kendall Jenner runs deeper. Rihanna, 36, reportedly dislikes Kendall, 29, because of her past friendship with Chris Brown, the man who assaulted Rihanna in 2009. In 2014, Kendall was seen spending time with Brown, which did not sit well with Rihanna. Adding to the tension, Kendall also briefly dated A$AP Rocky in 2017, which further fueled Rihanna’s feelings of territoriality. “Rihanna did not appreciate Kendall’s friendship with Chris.
