Riteish Deshmukh Demands Justice For Girls, Asked For Reintroduction of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Rules In Today’s Society

The issue of sexual abuse of women is increasing on a daily basis across India. While discussions of Kolkata doctor rape and murder case are in full swing these days and people are protesting against this across the country. Recently, the news of the sexual assault of two four-year-old school girls by their school’s male sweeper during school premises has led to massive protests in Badlapur.

Protesters have gathered at the railway station to demand justice for the girls and punishment for the culprit. Now Riteish Deshmukh has also given his strong reaction to this news and demanded Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s law in today’s society. Riteish Deshmukh raised his voice against this crime on his X handle and demanded strict action against the culprit. The actor expressed his concern as a parent and said that schools should be as safe a place for children as their homes.

Riteish also said how Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj used to punish such criminals in his time and further demanded the reintroduction of such laws. Condemning the situation Riteish wrote, “As a parent, I am extremely disappointed, saddened and filled with anger. The male sweeper of the school sexually assaulted two 4-year-old girls. Schools are supposed to be as safe a place for children as their own homes.”

The actor further wrote while talking about the disgusting thing, “This monster must be given the harshest punishment possible. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his time gave the culprits what they deserved – Chaurang- We need to re-enact these laws.” The accused has been identified as Akshay Shinde, who has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. He was arrested on August 17 and the complaint filed against him stated that he abused the girls in the school toilet.
