Robbers Robbed Actress Alankrita Sahai Of Rs 6.5 Lakh- Exclusive!
Model and actress Alankrita Sahai have been robbed in her home. The actress was living on the second floor of a building in one of the Delhi Appartments. At around 12.30 pm on Tuesday, three unidentified men forced their way into her flat, covering her face. She was then held hostage and robbed of Rs 6.5 lakh.
Alankrita had bought new furniture from Kharar a few days back. The furniture was delivered to her home on Sunday. She has told police that one of the delivery men was a robber. One of the three robbers took her ATM card and withdrew Rs 50,000 and returned it to her. Until then the other two were keeping an eye on her.
The robbers jumped out of the balcony and fled as Alankruta started shouting for help. First, they jumped on the first-floor balcony, and then they landed on the ground floor. After the incident, the frightened Alankruta locked himself in the washroom. The suspected robber was captured on a CCTV camera in the area, police said.
On getting the complaint the Senior police officers SP Ketan Bansal, the DSP Gurmukh Singh, with SHO PS-26, the Inspector Jasbir Singh, and the crime branch Inspector Harinder Singh Sekhon, and others rushed to the spot. As per the reports, the suspects were caught on the installed CCTV cameras in the vicinity neighborhood.
Mr Bansal told that “The victim belongs to the film industry. She was alone in the house. The entry door was opened. The robbers forcibly entered and robbed the victim at knifepoint. We have registered a case and have important leads.”
The actress reported to the police that the robbers included one of the furniture delivery men over the weekend. Now the police have despatched teams to track the leads at the furniture vendors in the area.
