‘Role Should Be Age Appropriate’: Hema Malini On Making Comeback To Films Amid Dharmendra’s Kiss Controversy!

Veteran actress Hema Malini is an evergreen beauty of Bollywood. She has earned fame in Hindi film industry through her fine acting chops. Hema has been facing questions of her comeback to movies for quite some time now. In a latest interview, the actress responded to the same and by her reply, it seemed she took a dig at husband and legendary actor, Dharmendra’s on-screen passionate kiss with actress Shabana Azmi in recently released film, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

When questioned about returning to acting, Hema said that she is ready for it. However, she also made it clear that role should be appropriate for her age. The actress-turned politician further added that the role could be glamorous, but it should be befitting her age.

Taking her point further, Hema said although she can do any kind of role, but she does not like doing negative portrayals on silver screen. Sharing the reason behind the same, she stated that she is not a negative person in real life so she can’t think bad for anybody. The ‘Dreamgirl of Bollywood’ added that the role has to be positive and should have a positive message.

Earlier than this, Hema shared her reaction to hubby’s liplock scene with Shabana Azmi. She said that she has not seen the movie yet, but she is happy that people are showing love to Dharmendra as he loves acting. The actress further revealed her husband’s obsession with camera. She said that he often sits at home, watches his old videos and asks ‘how he is looking in them?’

For the unversed, Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is running successfully in theatres. The film that stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi is receiving positive response from all over the nation. Meanwhile, Hema Malini appeared last in the 2020 film, ‘Shimla Mirchi’.
