Rubina Dilaik And Abhinav Shukla Celebrate One Month Milestone With Newborn Daughters

Actor couple Rubina Dilaik, 36, and Abhinav Shukla, 41, shared the first glimpse of their twin daughters recently. After widespread speculation, Rubina officially announced the arrival of Jeeva and Edhaa on November 27. Reflecting on parenthood, she expressed, “By God’s grace, we are getting better in the routine. They are two cute little non-identical twins, and we had four names shortlisted, two for girls and two for boys. We had decided them quite early on because we wanted unique names with meaningful significance. Our homework was done in advance.”

Reflecting on the indescribable emotions during the moment of giving birth and holding the girls, Rubina Dilaik expresses, “I can’t put the feeling in words; it is just surreal. I can’t define the moment when I gave birth and held them in my arms, but a lot has changed since these girls have come into our lives, and change is for good.”

Regarding the challenges of a twin pregnancy, the actor humorously remarks, “Our twin pregnancy is the first pregnancy, so there is not really a benchmark to compare to know which one is easier or tougher. We were preparing ourselves over these nine months. Had it been a single pregnancy, then also the preparations would have been the same.”

Our well-wishers had already informed us that while a single baby requires 3 people, twins would need not just 6 but 10 people to manage. Both mine and Abhinav’s mothers have been a constant support, taking care of me and the babies. Dilaik emphasizes the importance of family support, stating, “Family support is what really matters the most, be it for single or twin babies. I wouldn’t say we are excelling, but we are managing.”

Navigating the early days of parenthood, she expresses, “There is so much going on, and it is a huge change not just for me but the entire family. Everybody is accommodating into this new life. It’s too early to comment on the motherhood part, but I can feel the change, and that change will eventually transpire into something meaningful over time. That’s all I can see and experience for myself.”
