Actor Rubina Dilaik and her daughters recently endured a harrowing experience after being stranded in Himachal Pradesh due to heavy rainfall and landslides. The family was forced to take shelter in a hotel until conditions improved. On Tuesday, Rubina took to Instagram to confirm that she and her daughters—Jeeva and Edhaa—are now safe and in good health.
Sharing a series of pictures and videos from her hometown, Rubina expressed gratitude to the hotel that provided them refuge during the crisis. The post featured glimpses of road repair work amid heavy rains, as well as heartwarming moments of her daughters playing in the hotel premises.
Reflecting on the past few days, Rubina wrote, “Past 5 days were a roller coaster! Landslide and heavy rains in Himachal has caused a lot of damage to roads, highways, fields… many families are affected severely! My heart goes out to those (including my relatives) who are suffering.”

She added, “I just wanted to say I am safe and so is my family with God’s Grace. Though I couldn’t hold my daughters in my arms for long, I am grateful they are healthy and happy, and of course in a protected environment! Here is a glimpse of relief we had at @leeladhartranquility, who were kind to open their gates for us in these times of stress and unexpected circumstances.”
Rubina’s post comes at a time when Himachal Pradesh continues to reel under the fury of monsoon rains. According to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA), since June 20, at least 263 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents. Over 31,000 houses, shops, and other structures have been damaged or destroyed, while landslides have led to the closure of nearly 400 roads, including three national highways.
While Rubina and her daughters are safe, the actor highlighted the plight of thousands of affected families across the state, urging empathy and support in the face of nature’s devastation.
