The much awaited teaser of Saand Ki Aankh was released early Thursday, the film is helmed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. The Indian biopic drama is set to hit the screens this October 25. The movie features Bhumi Pednekar, Tapsee Pannu and Prakash Jha in the lead roles. He says, “I saw them on Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate. I had tears in my eyes when Chandro dadi said ‘Tann buddha hota hai, mann buddha nahi hota hai’. I told Nidhi [Parmar, producer wife] that I will tell their story to the world.”

While sharing the teaser Taapsee tweeted, “Ye to bus shuruat hai, kyuki tan buddha hove hain, man buddha na hove.” Bhumi also shared it with the caption, “Hum sabne naani daadiyon ke bahut si kahaniyaa suni hain. Aaj mai aapko apni dadiyon ki kahani sunaaungi (We all have heard stories from our grandmothers, now listen to the story of my grandmothers.)” The teaser starts with a voiceover that arouse the characters of revolver Dadis learning to shoot from the tutor, Dr Yashpal played by Vineet Kumar, where he gives the instance from Mahabharata(to target the fish’s eye) to which Tapsee replies, “Na Dactar, manne machli ki aankh na dikhe, manne to dikhe hai saand ki aankh, kyu jiji (No doctor, I don’t see the fish’s eye, I only see the bull’s eye)?” and Bhumi responds, “Wo kya kehte hain angreji me, Bull’s eye.”
