Sai Pallavi Turned Vegetarian For Ramayana? Actress Slams It As ‘Fabricated Lies’

Sai Pallavi has responded forcefully to rumours suggesting that she gave up non-vegetarian food to prepare for her role as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana. The actress, who has always been a vegetarian, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday to address these false reports, warning of legal action against any further attempts to spread misleading information.

The controversy began when a Tamil daily published claims that Sai Pallavi had turned vegetarian specifically for the role of Sita, and even travels with her own team of cooks to ensure she only eats vegetarian meals. In her post, Sai Pallavi made it clear that she has always adhered to a vegetarian lifestyle, emphasizing her long-standing commitment to it. “If you take food, I am forever a vegetarian. I can’t see when a life dies. I can’t hurt another person and think that it is okay, they deserve it,” she had previously stated in an interview.

In her social media message, Pallavi expressed her frustration over the spread of “baseless rumours” and “fabricated lies.” She remarked, “Most of the times, Almost every-time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours/ fabricated lies… but it’s high-time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn’t seem to cease; especially around the time of my films’ releases.” The actress warned that any further false claims would result in legal action against the responsible media outlets or individuals.

Sai Pallavi’s stance highlights her frustration with the media’s constant speculation around her personal life, particularly when it comes to her professional milestones. The actress’ remarks have resonated with fans who support her choice to speak out against the continuous spread of false narratives.

Known for her roles in films like Amaran, Sai Pallavi is poised to make her Bollywood debut in Ramayana. The epic film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, and Kannada actor Yash. The film is expected to release in two parts, with the first installment slated for 2026.

With the Ramayana announcement stirring up excitement, Sai Pallavi is set to make her mark in Bollywood, but she remains firm on addressing personal attacks that have no basis in fact.
