Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during an alleged robbery at his residence in Bandra (West) in the early hours of Thursday. According to the police, an unidentified man broke into the house at approximately 2:30 am and attacked the actor while he was asleep.

The intruder reportedly fled the scene after the commotion woke up other family members. The Bandra police are in the process of registering an FIR, and multiple teams have been formed to track down the assailant. A senior IPS officer confirmed the incident, stating, “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. It is unclear whether he was stabbed or injured during a scuffle. Both the Bandra police and the Mumbai crime branch are investigating the case.”

Medical Details

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, provided updates on Saif’s condition. “Saif was brought to the hospital at 3:30 am with six injuries, two of which are severe. One injury, located near his spine, is particularly concerning. A team comprising neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi began surgery at 5:30 am, which is ongoing.”

Dr. Uttamani added that another injury on Saif’s neck is being closely monitored. The extent of the damage will be clear only after the surgery is completed. Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with their two sons, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4), are present at the hospital.

The Incident

Saif and Kareena reside in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West. The couple, who married in 2012, live with their children in the upscale neighborhood.
