Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for his next release titled Bhoot Police. Besides him, the film stars Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Like any other personality from the entertainment industry, Saif has been trolled multiple times. Recently, the actor came under the radar of trollers for naming his second son after a Mughal King, Jehangir.
Apart from his personal life, the actor has faced criticism for his professional outings also. Recently, he landed in a controversy after his poster from the movie Bhoot Police did not go down well with many on social media. Now, in a recent interview, Saif opened up about online bashing and said that there was a point when he would look himself up on the internet and come across something that would spoil his mood. He further revealed his wife, Kareena Kapoor’s piece of advice on tackling trolls. The actor said that Kareena asked him to stop reading about himself online.
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Saif said, “I don’t read (troll comments). I am off it and it is really cool. Because it also helps me focus. It can get addictive, you know. I can google myself and start checking out what I said when and then I read something I don’t like and it spoils my mood. My wife told me, ‘you know what just stop doing it’. I had stopped for a while and I really started saying what do I do.”
Further in the interview, Saif said, “There is something about social media which is so dangerous. There is so much anonymity you don’t know who is talking to whom. So people throw a lot of violence around and stuff like that. So it can get a little wrong.”
Arjun Kapoor, who was also present with Saif, added, “It’s the same people who follow you so it is very confusing. It’s interesting that they actually just want attention. I feel social media is just one part of my life as a human being, as an actor, as a star.”
Saif Ali Khan keeps himself away from social media and doesn’t have an official account on any of the sites yet. His wife Kareena made her Instagram debut in March 2020 only. Before that, even Kareena kept a safe distance from social media. The actress is now super active on Instagram. She keeps sharing her selfies, family photos, etc. on it. Bebo is often seen promoting small businesses through her Insta handle.
For the unversed, Saif and Kareena got subjected to trolling for the names of their sons, Taimur and Jehangir in the past.
