Superstar host Salman Khan directly addressed the controversy surrounding wildcard contestant Malti Chahar’s derogatory remark towards Nehal Chudasama during the Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar episode. As expected, Salman called out Malti for her comments, highlighting the need for accountability and giving her a severe earful.
A promo shared by JioHotstar shows Salman’s intervention, which includes him literally dozing off mid-way through Malti’s absurd explanation.
The Incident: Clothes, Halwa, and a Heated Fight
The conflict began earlier in the week during a disagreement over food. Nehal Chudasama, the house captain, announced that suji ka halwa would be prepared and firmly stated that no one should object as Kunickaa Sadanand began making the dish.
Malti Chahar quickly interrupted with a mocking jab, saying, “Ganda halwa banega (it’ll turn out bad),” and laughed.
The comment immediately drew criticism, with Baseer Ali stepping in to question Malti’s thoughtlessness. The argument escalated sharply, culminating in an angry Nehal challenging Malti’s right to criticize others’ achievements: “Tumne kya kiya hai life mein? (What have you done in your life?)”
In a shocking personal blow, Malti retorted with the comment that sparked the public outcry: “Next time kapde pehenkar baat karna mere se (Next time, wear proper clothes before talking to me).” Nehal was stunned, Ashnoor Kaur covered her ears in disbelief, and Kunickaa Sadanand was enraged, asking, “What the hell did you just say?” Nehal was, in fact, fully dressed.
Salman Khan’s Scathing Takedown
In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan demanded an explanation from Malti regarding her insulting choice of words.
Malti offered a bizarre defense, claiming that the air conditioning had made the temperature too low, and she was simply asking Nehal to wear more layers. Her rambling, convoluted justification went on so long that the teaser showed Salman Khan literally leaning back and dozing off out of boredom and exasperation.
Upon waking, Salman delivered a sharp critique, asking the housemates, “Kitno ko lagta hai ki ye ekdum bakwas tha (how many of you think this was totally stupid)?” Kunickaa Sadanand immediately echoed his sentiment, agreeing the explanation was rubbish.
Salman then addressed Malti’s pattern of making controversial remarks and then retreating: “Malti, kuch bolne ke baad, maidaan chor ke bhaag jaati ho. Dose de rahi ho toh jo return dose aata hai who bhi lena seekh jaiye (Malti you run away after delivering barbs. If you attack someone, learn to take an attack on yourself too).” The host’s words visibly left the wildcard contestant, who is the sister of cricketer Deepak Chahar, looking glum and chastised.
