Samantha Ruth Prabhu Breaks Silence On Divorce With Naga Chaitanya: ‘You Gain People Who Are Fickle’

As Naga Chaitanya prepares for his upcoming wedding to actress Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4, his ex-wife, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has broken her silence on their divorce, addressing the rumours and intense public scrutiny she faced following their separation.

In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha discussed the harsh treatment women often face in a patriarchal society, especially when relationships fall apart. “Unfortunately, we live in a society which is so patriarchal, that anytime something goes wrong, a woman gets subjected to… I’m not saying men don’t, men do, but a woman gets subjected to a lot more judgment and a lot more shaming, not just online, even in real life,” Samantha said, reflecting on the challenges she endured post-divorce.

The actress went on to reveal how she was targeted with numerous false claims during this difficult period. “Many things were said about me that were untrue,” she admitted. “But what held me back, I remember having this conversation with myself when things were really, really crappy and they were really, really… absolute lies were being spread. And there were many times when I wanted to come out and say, this is not true, let me tell you the truth.”

Samantha also shared her reflections on the futility of seeking validation from others. “You gain a bunch of people who are so fickle, they may love you for a minute, and then maybe like three days later, you do something stupid and they go back to hating you again,” she explained. “Can you not live with the fact that your friends and your family know the truth? And it’s okay. If people think that you think all of these things that are not true about you, isn’t it okay? It’s fine.”

Despite the emotional toll, Samantha emphasized her acceptance of the situation. “All my life I wanted to be loved and validated and appreciated. It’s okay. So yeah, I mean, I still haven’t said anything. So whoever believes, whatever they believe, it’s up to them.”

Samantha’s candid comments offer a glimpse into the emotional and mental struggles she faced amid the divorce, showing her determination to focus on her own truth despite the external noise. As she continues her career and personal journey, her perspective on resilience and self-worth remains an inspiring message to many.
