Samantha Ruth Prabhu Defends Her Nebuliser Post: ‘I Merely Suggested It With Good Intentions’ Deets Inside!

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has issued a statement following criticism from doctors for recommending hydrogen peroxide nebulization. In 2022, the actor received a myositis diagnosis. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has discussed her struggle with myositis in public. The actor frequently shares a variety of health tips with her fans on social media. She recently posted a picture of herself utilising hydrogen peroxide nebulization as a treatment for viral infections. Doctors chastised the actor for disclosing risky medical procedures on her public platform.

She was called out and informed about the potentially harmful effects of this technique by Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, also known as “The Liver Doc,” who was among the doctors who saw her post. Using social media, Samantha Ruth Prabhu responded to remarks made about her story in a statement that she posted.

In a statement, she explained that she turned to alternative therapies after conventional treatments failed to work for her. She said: “Conventional treatments weren’t making me better. There’s a good chance it was just me and am sure they will work very well for others. These two factors led me to also read up on alternate therapies and treatments. And after trial and error, I found treatments that worked wonderfully for me. Treatments that also cost a fraction of what I was spending on conventional healthcare.”

Additionally, she stated that her doctor had advised her to begin this treatment rather than her starting it on her own. The actress continued, “I am not naive enough to go about strongly advocating a treatment…This treatment was suggested to me by a highly qualified doctor who is an MD, who has served DRDO for 25 years. He, after all his education in conventional medicine, chose to advocate an alternate therapy.”

In the same statement, she responded to The Liver Doc’s comments, saying she would have preferred that he approached her for a debate rather than attacking her on social media. Samantha continued, “I have no doubt that he knows more than I do…It would have been nice had he politely invited my doctor, whom I have tagged in my post, rather than go after me.”
