Samantha Ruth Prabhu Says Myositis Treatment Gave Her Pigmentation; ‘Steroids Messed Up Skin’

South sensation Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most sought-after actresses of film industry. She has spread her magic in films like ‘Eega’, ‘Shaakuntalam’, ‘Yashoda’, and many others. While the actress was riding high in her career, last year came as a halt for her. She got diagnosed with autoimmune disease ‘Myositis’ which not only impacted her work but also her physical appearance. Recently, Samantha who is currently on a medical break from acting conducted Q&A session on her social media handle to talk with her fans. During the same, she made an honest revelation about her skin suffering from pigmentation due to steroid shots she is taking for treating myositis.

During the fun interaction, a fan complimented the actress and asked how is her skin so clear. To this, Samantha responded by sharing her ordeal while undergoing myositis treatment. She said that her skin is not clear and she has been using a filter. The actress further revealed that her skin suffered a lot due to the excessive amount of steroid shots, which she took for treatment of her autoimmune disease. Samantha quoted, “Chinmayi Sripada is going to fix that, she promised. She’s going to make my skin glossy. Actually, I had to do a lot of steroid shots. So it really messed up my skin and gave me a lot of pigmentation. So no, this is a filter guys.”

In the same session, another fan asked the actress about three life mantras for a happy life. After a long though, she said she hasbecome very patient, and strong, and her willpower has reached infinity. However, Samantha later felt unhappy with her answer and so came up with another one. She wrote, “1. I will overcome 2. Stop questioning things…it is what it is. 3. Move forward in honesty and truth.”
