Samantha, who encountered multiple health issues last year, is back to work after a long break. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is well known for her acting abilities in South Indian films and Amazon Prime Video’s “Family Man” season 2. Her challenges with health and in her personal life forced her to take a sabbatical in 2023. But now, with renewed vigour, she plans to join her costars in impressive flicks.
Ready to Take on New Scripts
She took to Instagram to reveal her plan to resume her acting career. Samantha was last seen in “Shakuntalam” and “Khushi” late last year. While the latter love story charmed the audience in multiple languages, the former period drama failed to generate any buzz. It became the butt of jokes with critics and trolls ripping it apart.
We will next see her in Prime Video’s Hindi web series Citadel, opposite Varun Dhawan. The series is our desi version of the Priyanka Chopra starrer from Hollywood by the same name. Samantha Ruth Prabhu posted many photos from picturesque locales while on her break. But now, she posted that she is focusing on getting back to work with “people who inspire me.”
Healing and Growth Is First Priority
While the tinsel town’s big wigs rang in the new year with pomp and splendour, Samantha says that she had a low-key affair. “My New Year’s Eve was low key, calm and relaxed… much like I want the year to be,” she shared on Insta. She has been prioritizing health over fame and money ever since she got diagnosed with Myositis, an autoimmune disease.
“I am making sure that everything I do is focused on growth and growth alone,” she reiterates. The 36-year-old’s New Year bash happened on a beachfront, of which she posted some glimpses.
She also ended 2023 with a strenuous workout, reminding us how intense she is about wellness. Samantha is a fitness freak who aces in setting workout goals for all her fans as often shares videos and pictures of her boxing and heavy lifting.
