Comedian Samay Raina caught the attention of social media users at the Mumbai screening of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Bads of Bollywood, on Wednesday evening. The reason was a simple black T-shirt with the words “say no to cruise” printed on it, a clear reference to Aryan’s high-profile drug case.

The phrase on the T-shirt was a direct dig at a 2021 incident where the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a rave party on the Goa-bound Cordelia Empress cruise ship. Aryan Khan was detained and subsequently arrested by the NCB, led by then-Zonal officer Sameer Wankhede. He spent more than three weeks in jail before receiving a clean chit in the case.

The T-shirt quickly became a talking point on Reddit. One user wrote, “He has guts. I know it’s cliche, but…. But bro should really hesitate,” while another asked, “Is it a dig at his drug case?” The post generated a mix of reactions, with many users finding the comedian’s bold statement hilarious and others questioning the timing and motive.

Four years after the incident, Aryan Khan is making his entry into the entertainment industry behind the camera. The series, written by Aryan, is a seven-episode show produced under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner. It premieres on Netflix on September 18 and stars Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, and Bobby Deol in lead roles.
