Sana Khan Shares Why She Quit Showbiz And Started Wearing Hijab, “Saw Dreams Of Burning Grave With Me Inside”
It is known to one and all that Bigg Boss’ fame Sana Khan has quit showbiz to devote herself to her religion. But till today, Sana did not openly talk about what led her to take such a major decision when she was doing well in the entertainment industry. In a recent video posted by the former actress on her Instagram handle, she shared why she decided to say goodbye to the acting world and started following Allah’s path wholeheartedly.
Sana revealed that though she had everything, she used to have bouts of depression. She would see unusual and haunting dreams where she was set on fire inside a grave. The tell-all video begins with Sana talking candidly about how her past life was different from her present life. Clad in a black burqa, she says, “In my past life, of course, I had everything, name, fame, money. I could do anything and everything that I wanted but one thing that was missing was – peace in my heart. I was like I have everything but why am I not happy? It was very tough and there were days of depression, there were days of Allah’s message that I could see through his signs.”
Further, she sheds light on the year which brought a change in her lifestyle. “In 2019 I still remember, during Ramadan, I used to see a grave in my dreams. I would see a burning, blazing grave and I could see myself in the grave. I didn’t see the empty grave, I saw myself. I felt this is the sign that God is giving me that if I don’t change, this is what my end is. That got me a little anxious. I still remember the changes that were happening. I would listen to all the motivational Islamic speeches and one night I remember reading something so beautiful. The message said that you don’t want your last day to be your first day of wearing a hijab. That is something that touched me so deeply,” she said and broke down into tears.
Lastly, Sana said that the realization made her promise herself that she will never take off her Hijab. “The next morning I remember I woke up and that was my birthday. I had bought a lot of scarves before. I put the cap inside, wore the scarf and I told myself I will never remove this ever again. I am happy that now that I am changed, I would not go back and remove my abaya (hijab) and throw it away,” she said.
Sana Khan, who has been part of films like Jai Ho, Wajah Tum Ho and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, shocked one and all with her announcement of quitting showbiz in 2020. She is now following the spiritual path of Islam and is married to Mufti Anas Sayied.
